About Us
At Nordic Equine, we are dedicated to optimizing the performance, well-being, and longevity of horses through precise, data-driven biomechanics analysis. We bring decades of combined hands-on experience working with horses, and combine it with a strong academic foundation in equine biomechanics, physiology, and kinematics. This unique blend of practical knowledge and scientific expertise allows us to offer insights that bridge the gap between instinct and data-driven practices, empowering horse owners, trainers, and riders to achieve sustainable success.

Our Mission
Our core mission is to provide equestrians with a deeper understanding of how their horse moves, enabling them to make informed decisions that enhance both well-being and performance. We envision a world where every horse and rider partnership can reach their full potential through informed training strategies and personalized performance enhancement programs. We aim to lead this transformation by utilizing the latest advancements in equine science and technology, delivered by a team dedicated to continual knowledge and your journey to success - whatever your goals may be!

What Sets Us Apart
At Nordic Equine, we stand apart in the equine industry due to our innovative, science-backed approach to equine biomechanics analysis. Unlike traditional methods which tend to rely on subjective observations, we provide objective, quantifiable data on a horse's gait, stride symmetry, and overall biomechanical performance. We utilize cutting-edge tools such as 2D video analysis and inertial motion units to capture and analyze the intricate details of equine biomechanics, which allows us to ensure that every analysis is accurate, reliable, and tailored to the needs of each horse and rider. Whether your goal is improving competitive performance, preventing or recovering from injury, or enhancing horse-rider communication, we offer actionable insights that lead to measurable improvements.

Chelaine
With over two decades of hands-on experience across multiple equestrian disciplines, Chelaine has dedicated her career to understanding and improving equine performance. Her background spans English, Western, and Standardbred racing, with extensive experience in training, sales, lesson barns, show barns, and breeding programs. This diverse foundation has given her a profound appreciation for the biomechanics and movement patterns that drive equine athleticism.

Chelaine's academic journey led her to Hartpury University, where she earned a BSc (Hons) in Equestrian Sports Science in 2019. Passionate about advancing equine performance through science, she is currently pursuing an MSc in Equine Science through Edinburgh University (Royal Veterinary College). In addition to her academic and professional pursuits, Chelaine is an active dressage rider and is participating in the PAC (Paint Alternative Competition) program through APHA, expanding her involvement in competitive and performance-based equestrian disciplines.

In 2019, Chelaine founded Nordic Equine with the vision of combining biomechanics analysis with practical training insights to help horses and riders achieve their full potential. Her approachable, evidence-based methodology empowers equestrians of all levels—from recreational riders to competitive athletes—to better understand their horses, optimize training strategies, and enhance overall performance.
Emily
Emily’s passion for horses started at a young age and has since evolved into over a decade of hands-on experience across various aspects of the industry. She has worked extensively in dressage, hunter/jumper, breeding, training, and sales, giving her a broad yet in-depth understanding of equine development and performance. Her ability to assess and respond to the unique needs of each horse has been a defining strength throughout her career.

Currently working toward a Diploma in Equine Studies through Equine Guelph, Emily is dedicated to continually expanding her knowledge to better serve the horses and riders she works with. She believes that every horse is an individual and strives to recognize the subtle differences in their movement, posture, and behavior to provide tailored insights that support long-term success.

Since joining Nordic Equine in 2020, Emily has been an integral part of the team, bringing both scientific curiosity and a thoughtful, hands-on approach to equine biomechanics analysis. She is passionate about helping clients uncover the hidden details in their horses' movement, ultimately leading to improved performance, soundness, and overall well-being. Her attention to detail ensures that every client—whether a competitive rider or a dedicated horse owner—feels supported and confident in their horse’s journey.
